Yes it will allow authorities/isp/vpn provider to see that a particular IP was used likely by you, at that time (if they get the information from facebook as to which IP was used). So by extension they can hypothesize that any other sites accessed by that ip at that time were also by you….possibly. But even then, VPN’s use shared ip’s so they STILL can’t prove that you accessed any particular site other than facebook, because there will be dozens or even hundreds of other people using the same ip at the same time. It can give them some clues which MIGHT allow them to tie things back to you.

Staying anonymous is beyond VPNs now. Cookies Marty, your kids privacy has been compromised by Cookies!
In the future (which is now), advertisers don’t ask you for your name. They give you a number.
That’s who you are Marty, a number! A giant filing system rivaling the social security database that is shared by an oligarchy of commercial and retail interests. Selling out to whoever has a dollar in his pocket.
Including the Iranians Marty! My God, they’ve found me. I don’t know how they did it, it was just supposed to be a Uranium deal. Get in the Delorian! Take Einstein!
It is like there’s a word missing from your question, do you mean whether authorities can see it is your or whether Facebook can?
Yes, to both. Generally, if you are using any of your old accounts on any site (which very likely log your old real IPs from the past), just turning the VPN on doesn’t make you anonymous.
Is your FB account with your real name? It’s not like it is anonymous then in the first place, VPN or not. I’d create a secondary account with a fake name/info which you can use to log in when using VPN if you just need to see the content there, and keep using the primary account for actual interaction.
Another good reason to occasionally/frequently change servers and providers. Most VPN providers have several servers, and there are a few free but good VPN providers. Just mix and match as your tasks change.
If you want to remain completelt anonymous, yes. There was a case a few years ago where someone got caught over TOR because they signed into gmail.
