How do you keep the wood from getting weird and gross?
This makes me think of the bathhouse in spirited away
The smell would make that room even better than it already is, am I the only one who loves the smell of wood in an environment like that?
To all the people crying mold, wood-constructed saunas have been around for hundreds of years (See: the Finnish). What did you think they’ve been making them out of? Linoleum?
Everyone’s all negative in the comments today. Y’all need to relax and take a dip in the hot springs.
This spring was once undeveloped and open to the public. Now it is a resort for the super wealthy. ?

There are some seriously entitled people in here! I’ve been to this property and was able to stay for free because I worked in the industry. If my memory severs me correct (I stayed there a long time ago) it was a old mining ghost town, that someone developed and made into a lovely resort. People weren’t going there before that, but now that its restored to a beautiful space everyone bitches that it’s somehow unjust that you have to pay to get in.
I’ve been there on a snowmobiling trip! On the left you can see a swing that sits in the water. It was so nice there.
$1300-$1500 a night? Pass.
I have been there a couple times and let me tell you that the side of the pool where this picture was taken is hot as shit, while the other side is a nice temperature. It is actually really nice because its like a hot tub and a pool in one.
Pretty cool how nature grew a house with stairs and a hot spring in it. How it do dat?
Mold city
I just don’t understand people who are bitching about the price as if the resort is doing something wrong? It was a dude ranch back in the day and then got bought. It was never public land. People are talking like they had something taken away! They didn’t. Just because something exists does not make you entitled to it! Do what you can afford, and if you cannot afford something like this that is a luxury, then save your money, get more wealthy, or do what is in your means. Pretty fucking simple.
Wheres the cute anime girls /s
[Heres a picture of the outside of that cabin](https://uncrate.com/p/2015/06/dunton-hs-1.jpg)
I live in CO! I am so going!!
My family used to run this place! It is as magical as it looks.
They couldn’t figure out a better place to put the stairs?
I was just there a month ago!
This is obviously a screen cap from the last of us part 2
If only the US had developed a hot spring culture like East Asia and North Europe
Hot Springs are wonderful. I like outdoors ones myself.
7 hour drive for me? Yep, gonna take it. Awesome pic, OP.
Hot damn
Looks like the Jumanji house after it was flooded in the monsoon scene.
I feel like this is a place where unknown deities live
I went to Dunton Hot Springs for my friends wedding a couple years back. Its incredible. And on the outside of the indoor hot springs, there are outdoor hot springs with mint and lavender plants surrounding them. Insane.
It was a blast. Unreal scenery, private chef… just so damn cool. I think Ralph Lauren personally decorated a few of the cabins, too
Oh lord the mold is gonna be horrid
This is cool but I dislike that all the hot springs have been bought up and turned into businesses so you can just go out and find one to hang out in. You’ve got to pay to be at their resort
I live in Denver and just looked up prices at this place because I am sure my Fiance would love it. Sorry, but I’ll take my $2,000 per night elsewhere.
I could actually fly to Reykjavik go to the Blue Lagoon and come back for less than a weekend here. There are direct flights from Denver for like $600 per person.
This is definitely an Elianora mod for Skyrim
Bet it aint cheap! beautiful tho
Does anyone know what cabin this is in? Or is it a communal area?
