Why even use a VPN if you’re going on Facebook?
There is a cookie in your browser, and they run some Java script magic too.
When you log in with your username and password it probably helps them quite a bit
Logout, clear clookies or use browser’s incognito/private mode.
Did you leave your account open?
And remember, Facebook now knows you’re using a VPN too. And probably other websites you opened both with and without VPN.
Because it’s social media, lol. If you’ve ever, at any point, not used a VPN when logging on to your Facebook account they’ll know who you are because they log you. You would need to use your VPN from day 1 of that account’s creation. Not to mention being social media and all you most likely put personal info about yourself. Exclusively dealing with Facebook, it’s technically possible to create an anonymous Facebook account. I can’t imagine the purposes of doing so but it is possible because they don’t require any SMS text verification like Twitter, Snapchat, etc. What you need is either a encrypted email account or a disposable email account. Most likely disposable, it wouldn’t make sense to waste a encrypted email account on something senseless like Facebook. Then you would need to use VPN to create the account. Or Tor, Facebook actually has a onion link. Which is confusing, you’d think being all anti privacy and whatnot they wouldn’t do this.
Use tor and a vpn if you dont want anything tracked
