1. ComCast shouldn’t be blocking VPNs they’re 100% legal and under no orders to be blocked. It’s likely an error or accidental, you should contact them.

   I had a router that blocked VPNs once (when I lived in the UK), turns out it was a ‘security feature’ my ISP told me where to turn it off.

   If you’re worried about them asking why (you shouldn’t be), you can say your work or education requires the use of VPN to access the internal network.

2. Comcast isn’t blocking my VPNs. Not saying they aren’t blocking yours, but it’s probably more likely that there is something else wrong.

3. If you are using the piece of junk cable modem/router from Comcast, stop using it and use your own equipment. That could be the cause.

4. Maybe try a different router.

5. force all traffic over port 443, its used for ssl and wont be blocked, it will look like any other website.

6. I have a similar problem with Comcast. I use PIA for VPN and when I connect, DNS queries suddenly take forever.

7. Test the VPN outside that network just to check that is working properly.

   If its working, you can think about ssh tunneling, obfsproxy, shadowsocks

8. You sure it’s the ISP and not some VPN issue. Have you tested the VPN on a different network?

9. it’s far more likely that your brain is blocking the common sense portion of your head.
   i’m sure your vpn’s support would appreciate whatever observations you accumulated
   and they would be best suited to resolve whatever issue you still have with their service.
