Tutanota از اذعان کرد که حداقل برای مدتی Comcast مشتریان قادر به دسترسی به سایت خود بودند. در شروع من VPN و قادر به دسترسی به سایت خود است.

گوشی من قادر به اتصال به سرویس VPN من با استفاده از بی سیم بر روی پورت 443 است. در ایجاد یک پروفایل جدید با استفاده از TCP بجای UDP و سپس گوشی من قادر به اتصال.

That’s not what’s going on. There were some wild wind storms in the northeast (70+ mph) the past few days that took down data and power everywhere (source: live in NE, never lose power but was without power for 36 hours and won’t have internet until Wednesday). It hit northern Virginia pretty hard (re: Alexa wouldn’t work for a lot of people) where there are a lot of data centers and comcast has a lot of resources in the northeast.
One of Comcast’s backbone routes was probably taken down due to the storms making it so that Tutanota and your VPN service are both offline. Sans that, it could be everything from a DNS problem to a routing problem, both of which using a VPN could temporarily fix (unless the VPN uses the same backbone provider or their backbone provider has outages also).
Additionally, Comcast has no motive to block Tutanota and they probably couldn’t give a flying fuck about the site unless they can put a big green buy button on it.
About the VPN profile, the UDP might have gone down a dead route and the TCP might go down a living route. Not Comcast trying to make your life difficult.
So chill, it’s not that bad yet and save the alarmist hype for when it really is bad.
Comcast Customer, No issues accessing/signing into tutanota without vpn (google DNS) wont use comcast dns even for testing purposes. Also no issues using OpenVPN UDP. Tested right before making this post.
Now that Net Neutrality is gone every little glitch is just evidence that someones internet provider is trying to stop them from getting somewhere. lol

If any of you ever experience this again, please perform a traceroute and post the results (otherwise it is difficult to troubleshoot). Alerting us (I work for Comcast) over at https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_Xfinity/ is also helpful. My guess is this was a problem somewhere on some route between the two networks.
