I imagine traction control would have completely prevented this had he left it turned on and nailed the throttle out of there. That’s exactly what it’s for. But you have to turn traction control off to use launch mode, so best not to do it on a curve with no skill.
I don’t think you can blame launch control for that. There’s another factor involved…a total bell end.
I love how there is a tow truck on the other side of the road getting ready to tow a red sports car. Bet the other dude just did same sort of thing. Must have been show off & wreck your car day.
I was at this event. See the police across the highway? That’s because a Camaro ZL1 crashed earlier. And two McLaren’s crashed earlier in the day a couple miles up the highway. It was a massive car show, so it brought out the idiots I guess.
The police on the other side of the barrier by the car being towed are probably so fuckin done haha.
I can’t stop thinking about him sitting at a dead stop in a fucking highway merge lane with no flashers on or anything. Plus he’s got at least one fool out in the road trying to digitally record footage of this display of idiocy. All of them… idiots.
into an active highway too no less
Could someone explain to me what launch control is
Could have gone a lot worse
Is countersteering not a natural reaction? If my car begins to go sideways i countersteering before i even think about it conciously. I’m genuinely curious because i see so many videos of people trying to go sideways, but just leaving the steering wheel straight and expecting the car to defy physics and right itself anyway.
What? It’s not a Mustang?
Was this on 17s in paramus by gsp??
When idiots buy expensive cars, part 129447292.
Is that a 911?
Judging by the multiple people around filming, I’d say this guy planned to be a dumbass.
Man, these rich people leaving Garden State Plaza Mall are unbelievable; just watching the BMW’s and Mercedes who “own the road” is painful but this takes it to a whole new level
Rule of thumb: if your friends want to film it odds are high you shouldn’t be doing it.
At least this one managed to only damage his own car.

The car thread, wherein the humor of the post is lost among factions competing to prove they know more about cars.

His other car must be a Mustang.

That man was never in control
Is there a subreddit for idiots who crash nice cars doing dumbass things? I’d sub to that.
