My parents are very controlling of me and my siblings, and randomly input time restrictions to shut off our WiFi. I myself am a student and this has interfered on a number of occasions. I was wondering if a VPN would allow me to bypass time restrictions set up on a WiFi network.

nice try, but sorry no 🙂
No
Nah, I wonder if you could bypass the restrictions in another way, though.
Could you run ethernet directly from the router or even directly from the modem? The modem thing would definitely work, but it would cut off everyone else’s internet unless you had an ethernet switch?
If I were you I’d add a secondary router before the controlled one (if you can keep it hidden somewhere) and hide the SSID of it.
Of course it depends heavily on your internet wiring but it is totally a high risk, high reward situation XD
No. Restrictions on a router are driven by the mac address of the device being controlled. As far as I know you can’t spoof a mac address, and even if could the administrator could see it and block that too.
