Yeah, I’ve got it to work. You have to make sure you got all the copy pastes in the right boxes.
It’s working for me. Once I had a problem connecting which I resolved by modifying minimum TLS version.
So you can connect to your VPN but you can’t actually browse the internet right ? Can you post some logs from your client and post the configs also ?
I also am using OpenVPN on my Asus router, but i also had some issues at first when setting it up.
Go to VPN option in the left hand side menu. Select VPN Client tab and click Add profile button. Select Openvpn, add your credentials if given any from provider and add /import .ovpn file, or just add /import .ovpn file if the service doesn’t require username and password. Set config to Protocol UDP with compression on tls on, port 500 or 53 maybe (for speed). If it can’t connect, set port/protocol to 443 TCP, reupload, retry.
Then browse to WAN in the menu, select Internet Connection tab.
In the WAN DNS Setting section set No for Connect to DNS Server automatically option.
This will reveal two fields below, use them for manual DNS setup. Try Google DNS or whatever other public DNS you use or use the ones the provider provides to you.
